A history of Polk-Ska icons: The great bob barkers Rising out of the forests of Rochester, the great bob barkers broke into the polk-ska scene in 1998 with their debut album, come on down. The band's latest album, plink-whoa, unites slappy's bossa-nova vocals with a pulsating horn trio and rhythm section to generate politically aware grooves. With standout tracks like "cliff hangers," dominating radio airwaves far and wide, the great bob barkers is an essential addition to any music lover's library.

Slappy The mastermind behind it all, Dan spent years is his room wishing for a guitar and watching countless hours of The Price is Right. When he revealed to his parents the actual retail value of the Gibson Destroyer he coveted so badly, Slappy's parents bequeathed to him his father's old saxophone. Once again, fate intervened and history was made. |

Zipper Zipper grew tired of hearing fans of American Idol tell him that he looked like Chris Daughtry. Fed up, he put on his tightest jeans, biggest pair of tough guys boots and went to work practicing guitar. Before the season was over and the next idol selected, Zipper was jamming with the Bob Barker's and happily telling women what a great opportunity the show was for him.

Krusty You always knew him as Angry Andy of the black metal band 12-Sided Die. After the now infamous tour bus accident, Krusty confined himself to his house, writing ballad after ballad. Refusing to let this self-destructive behavior go on, Slappy convinced Krusty to come to the rental bay by promising him that Applied had finally bought a Midas XL8. Now he's back, and rolling out the sweet bass lines. |

Ronnie Ronnie comes to the Bob Barker's most recently, having wandered into practice looking for employment. A true team player, she offered to join the rhythm section, even though she'd never played drums before. Luckily for the Bob Barker's, she had years of pent-up aggression and dozens of feminist theory titles under her belt. As soon as they handed her the drumsticks, the band knew they'd found their new drummer.

Jeff If you don't recognize this face, you'll surely recognize his work. A thirty-year veteran of the music biz, Jeff has played with the likes of Tuff Enuff, Yabba Yabba and the hugely successful soft-synth rock band Tears Hardly Dry. He draws his musical influence entirely from Toto.

Thud Thud started his training before he could walk, wowing his parents and neighbors with the mellow sounds of his blue kazoo. Following his graduation from music school he hit the jazz circuit, but found the women to be too old for his tastes. Now happily married to a youthful Bob Barker's fan, he takes time off every summer to teach the kids at his alma mater, Last Chance Band Camp.

Lou As if you didn't know, Lou has enjoyed a long and distinguished career as a tubist. Playing for many years with the distinguished Wilhelm Von Binderstein Orchestra, he often took time out to jam with his long-time friend and saxophone extraordinaire, Slappy. Having performed the pivotal tuba solo of his career and enjoying international notoriety, Lou felt he reached a plateau in his classical career. He finally accepted Slappy's long-time offer to whip the Bob Barker's into shape, readying the band for their first album and tour.
